Hispanidad

Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami in collaboration with Miami Dade College North Campus presents “Hispanidad”, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring live music, rich rhythms and dance performances rooted in Hispanic culture.

The program will include live music by pianist Vivian Gonzalez and soprano Kiley Hernandez performing excerpts from Zarzuela, a music genre that deals with the social realities of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, often defined as Spanish opera, and the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami performing “Habaneras” showcasing the sultry vibrancy and strength of Hispanic women, “Lecuona Suite” a tribute to Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, and other performances.
